Hotel Saltus
More and more people are trying not only to pay attention to sustainability in everyday life, but also to integrate it into their vacation. "Living nature because we are nature" - that is the mission of the Hotel Saltus in Jenesien. At a health-promoting 1,100 meters above sea level, high on the mountain and yet only 8 km from Bolzano, lies South Tyrol's first Eco Hotel, right on the edge of the forest.
The special dynamic between nature and architecture was already emphasized during construction. The result is a building made from local building materials such as larch wood, beeswax and red porphyry, which acts as a framework for nature as a work of art. The rooms and suites have also been designed with the essentials in mind. An open ambience, playful retreats, warm natural materials such as lime and clay, valuable woods and beeswax sealants create a healthy and comfortable room climate.
The Forest Spa, which is 99% chemical-free and has been carefully integrated into the forest, offers relaxation for mind and soul. It can be reached via a meditation path with various stations that encourage mindfulness. Guests can enjoy various saunas, a relaxation room, yoga room and intensive forest encounters. In the indoor pool and the 17-metre infinity pool, you can drift weightlessly between heaven and earth. The Sky Pools make bathing pleasure complete - and touch with a view over the treetops to the majestic mountain peaks of the Dolomites.
As a climate-neutral hotel, the Saltus also uses local products in its cuisine and is committed to the reforestation of local forests.
