FORESTIS

The clear waters of the Plose spring, the pure air, many days of sunshine and the mild climate have been the four pillars of the South Tyrolean village of Palmschoß since the beginning of the 20th century, and this also applies to the FORESTIS hideaway.

Planned in the 1920s as a climatic health resort in South Tyrol and built by Otto Wagner, a listed building lay dormant. Teresa Unterthiner and Stefan Hinteregger made their dream come true in 2020 with the hideaway in a secluded location at 1,800 meters. Together with their team, they live mindfulness towards people and nature here.
The 62 suites, including 2 penthouse suites, one on each of the two outer towers, 40 tower suites in the three towers and 20 suites in the listed building reflect precisely this mindfulness. Air, water, sun, wood and stone: natural materials symbolize the tranquillity of the forest and the surrounding nature. Three sculptural suite towers, modeled on the shape of tree trunks and at different heights, were placed next to the listed building, rising into the sky like trees and blending harmoniously into the forest landscape. The unusual architecture of the FORESTIS is unique in the European Alps and brings guests even closer to the natural spectacle of the Dolomites.

Natural relaxation

The Celts who settled in this region were already close to nature and drew their knowledge of the human body from the teachings of nature. They felt a particularly close connection to the forest, which they made their teacher. FORESTIS treatments therefore follow the principle of the four indigenous trees: mountain pine, spruce, larch and Swiss stone pine. Each tree has active ingredients, frequencies and materials that allow the human body to regenerate deeply. The spa extends over 2,000m² with an indoor and outdoor pool, brine steam bath, various saunas, the Silent Room with fireplace, tea lounge with library, gym, Wyda room and treatment rooms.

Natural cuisine

Nature and farmers from the surrounding area and region provide the ingredients for head chef Roland Lamprecht, who creates special taste experiences with respect for tradition and the creativity of modern cuisine. The stepped restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows sets the stage for the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site.
