Hotel Schwarzschmied
At the Hotel Schwarzschmied, nature lovers get their money's worth, as do art lovers, yoga fans and gourmets.
Art and nature
Nature was the most important source of inspiration for the architecture: marble from the Vinschgau Valley, porphyry slabs from the Sarntal Valley and larch and spruce wood from the region; light colors and minimalist design characterize the look of the hotel. A total of 68 rooms and suites with balcony or terrace are available. Wooden floors and natural materials contribute to the feel-good atmosphere, while paintings by South Tyrolean artists Hannes and Franziska Egger inspire the spirit.
The four-star hotel was recently awarded the German Design Award for its new rooftop suites. Here, guests can become gallery owners themselves by selecting the pictures and hanging them on the wall. They can also work on the motifs themselves in a book provided.
Yoga and more
Regular yoga practice is one of the key elements in bringing body and soul into harmony at the Schwarzschmied. Two daily sessions are therefore an integral part of the offer. Rest and relaxation can also be found in the 1,000 m² spa area with indoor pool, Finnish sauna with mountain views, steam bath and twenty-metre outdoor pool. The massages and beauty treatments with high-quality natural cosmetics from Susanne Kaufmann are also a real treat.
Regional cuisine
In the large 17th century Schwarzbauer garden, fruit, vegetables and herbs are grown, harvested and processed into healthy delicacies for the hotel restaurant La Fucina under the direction of head chef Andreas Pircher. In the Schwarzschmied Bar and Bistro Luce, the SIow Food principle is upheld - with homemade organic lemonades and a variety of local beers and wines.
