Granbaita Dolomites
3rd place: In Wolkenstein, at an elevation of 1,564 meters, you’ll find, among other things, a particularly charming spot to take a break from everyday life: the Hotel Granbaita Dolomites.
Ideal starting point
For all these activities, you need a base, and the Puntscher-Perathoner family provides just that at the Hotel Granbaita Dolomites. In addition to outstanding hospitality and service, everything at this five-star hotel revolves around the theme of beautiful living; after all, the hotel was upgraded from 4 to 5 stars in 2019 following a major renovation. Spacious, bright rooms, designed with great attention to detail, define the ambiance. Light-filtering wooden elements between the rooms, sophisticated and comfortable furnishings, elegant colors, and an atmospheric fireplace invite you to enjoy pleasant moments.
Oasis of Well-being
Wood and stone also define the ambiance of the Savinela SPA. An elegant and inviting wellness center, named after the Ladin name of a beautiful flower that grows in the Langental valley. A 32-meter-long pool heated to 30°C for dreamlike moments, with direct access between the large indoor pool and the panoramic outdoor pool. The hotel places great emphasis on water quality and uses exclusively Grander water. A Finnish sauna, aromatic steam bath, an exclusive snow grotto, saltwater bath, and hay sauna round out the offerings in the relaxation zone.
Gourmet World
Andrea Moccia, together with his professional team, runs the gourmet restaurant and treats guests to Mediterranean and regional specialties. The restaurant at the Hotel Granbaita Dolomites is available to hotel guests, who can enjoy a lavish antipasti buffet in the evening and a five-course menu that changes daily, as well as a health-conscious menu with just 500 calories. A wine list featuring over 400 fine local wines, stored in the hotel’s old stone cellar and modern glass cellar, complements the culinary offerings. As a treat for the palate, a large buffet featuring South Tyrolean specialties, a sushi corner, and international delicacies is served once a week.
