From the former Hotel Austria, to a military hospital during World War I, to today’s Adria. Details from all these years are scattered throughout the rooms and hallways, making a stroll through the centuries a breeze: The click-clack of footsteps on the terrazzo floor in the lobby, across creaking wooden floors and thick, luxurious carpets, the elegant breakfast room, the terrace under palm trees, the hotel bar—a journey to another time, to another world—here, the Belle Époque comes alive again, completely free of trends and fads!
“Preserving beauty, giving the iconic a new luster”—under this motto, the 45 rooms and suites were refreshed in 2019. Often featuring double doors and a balcony, they are as unique as the guests themselves and, with their charming colors, high-quality fabrics, and magnificent views, offer a hideaway of a very special kind.
After a long hike through the Merano mountains or a day of shopping, the wellness area at Hotel Adria is just the thing. The Adria Bath Pavilion, with its heated indoor pool and access to the garden featuring a whirlpool, four saunas, and a relaxation room, entices you into a world of light, warmth, scents, and steam. Here, body and soul relax all on their own.
Since 2021, hungry guests have been treated to a newly conceived, extensive Adria breakfast served until noon, featuring homemade, sweet, and fresh delicacies, along with everything else a gourmet’s heart could desire. Sometimes there’s fresh yeast plait (with a view of palm trees), sometimes poached eggs (with a view of mountain peaks), sometimes light, sometimes hearty—but always fresh and prepared with care. These delicacies can be enjoyed in the sun garden, in the elegant breakfast room, or on the legendary wine terrace—guests are always spoiled for choice here.
