Arua Private Spa Villas
2nd place: Situated at an elevation of 650 meters, surrounded by vineyards, olive trees, and orchards, and offering views of Merano and the Adige Valley, the Arua Private Spa Villas provide an unparalleled setting for relaxation—true to the motto “A rua,” which means “peace and quiet, private space” in the South Tyrolean dialect.
It was this philosophy that inspired the architects to create a design that offers plenty of privacy.
The complex features six villas and an infinity pool with views stretching all the way to the Dolomites. All six retreats, bearing evocative names such as Eucalyptus or Mandorla, offer two to three bedrooms with king-size beds, a private bathroom, an exclusive living area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private sauna. With up to 460 m² of living space—including a terrace and rooftop spa in the two penthouse units—and 210 m² in the other four villas, guests will find their very own personal oasis of well-being.
The elements of stone and wood, which define the exterior’s aesthetic, also lend the interior its distinctive character. Subtle earth tones are paired with exposed concrete and rough-plastered walls, while large, open spaces and floor-to-ceiling windows bring the landscape indoors. Combined with stylish design classics, timeless furniture, and thoughtful details, cozy spaces have been created that you’ll never want to leave. But then there’s the covered loggia, the sun loungers, lounge furniture, and the mini pool with whirlpool function!
In addition to the opportunity to relax in the private sauna and the mini pool with whirlpool function, all guests have access to a heated infinity saltwater pool with a breathtaking view of the valley. Massage therapist and esthetician Susanne is happy to pamper you with exclusive spa treatments using the locally produced NOT JUST BODYCARE cosmetics line, under the motto “Self Care is Health Care,” even in the comfort of your own villa.
Culinary delights are also part of the pampering experience at Arua Private Spa Villas. Breakfast is served exclusively in the villa every morning, either on your own terrace or in the living area. A delivery service is also available. This allows guests to order meals from the in-house restaurant, located in Burgstall 20 km away, which are delivered directly to the villa.
Since summer 2024, a new highlight has enriched the Arua Private Spa Villas: Chalet Stadel. This adults-only chalet for two offers pure privacy and luxury across 110 m². The name Stadel refers to its history—a 380-year-old barn was lovingly renovated and transformed into a stylish chalet. Massive wooden beams and historic stone walls create a cozy atmosphere that perfectly blends tradition with modern comfort.
