Vigilius Mountain Resort
The cable car is the only way up. A ride that pays off, as the Vigilius Mountain Resort is located at 1,500 meters and presents itself as a place of power.
Pure mindfulness
Televisions are taboo here, and nobody needs them. A view from the panoramic windows of the Vigilius Mountain Resort makes for great cinema, from sunrise to sunset. At first glance, the rooms and suites appear puristically furnished, but are very cozy thanks to effectively placed splashes of color. You'll sleep well here and relax at the extensive breakfast buffet. Incidentally, smartphones and tablets are very much ignored here.
Although the Vigilius Mountain Resort is in a very exposed location, its heating requirements are extremely low thanks to its building envelope and construction. It was clear from the outset that the design hotel with Klimahaus A certification would be heated with biomass. The wood chips used come from mountain farmers in the immediate vicinity, for whom running the hotel is a secure sideline. Thanks to effective flue gas filtration, the optimized combustion process produces only very low pollutant emissions.
Kitchen philosophy
It almost goes without saying that the Vigilius Mountain Resort also impresses with its sustainable, regional and seasonal cuisine. In the 1500 restaurant, you can not only enjoy outstanding dishes, but also a wonderful view. Above all, you can enjoy breakfast here in a room dominated by clean lines, natural materials and subtle, warm colors. The Stube Ida is reminiscent of earlier times: Cozy tiled stoves, long tradition. Here you can get particularly close to the cuisine of the region.
The elixir of life, water
The Vigilius Mountain Resort has a treasure that is probably unique in its kind. Living mineral spring water gushes out of the mountain. The precious water from the Vigiljoch flows through all the pipes - from the tap, in the shower, bathtub, pool and whirlpool. On the way from the Joch to the Bärenbad there are some very productive springs that emerge below the tree line at around 1700 m above sea level. This powerful element of nature, full of energy and rich, forces its way to the surface through granite, gneiss and porphyry. The water flows smoothly around the body in the infinity pool. You could hardly wish for more to feel completely at ease.
