MIRAMONTI Boutique Hotel
2nd place: Hard to find, but hard to forget. There’s no better way to describe the MIRAMONTI Boutique Hotel.
Visions
The couple Carmen Kruselburger Alber and Klaus Alber have fulfilled a dream here in Hafling: an alpine hideaway that instantly enchants. One can only say—mission accomplished. The hotel nestles into the forest on a steep slope and offers sensational views from the balconies of the suites. You literally feel like you’re floating in the rooms, but especially in the infinity pool. The decor is very cool and minimalist, with floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows that let light, air, and nature itself flow into the interior.
Beautiful Views
The cuisine here is of the highest caliber. It deserves awards. Massimo Geromel has earned the Panorama Restaurant two toques in Gault&Millau with his extraordinary creations. At the MIRAMONTI Klassik, you can have a three-course meal recommended to you, or, if you prefer, choose your own menu from the menu featuring dishes from South Tyrol and Italy. In the MIRAMONTI Stube, South Tyrolean dumplings, Schlutzkrapfen, and all sorts of other traditional dishes are served, and floating high up on the terrace, anything seems possible. Above all, nothing stands in the way of a lovely evening with a good drink here.
In seventh heaven
And here you’re floating once again: specifically when guests take a dip in the saltwater infinity pool—16 meters long and 8 meters wide, the pool leads through a warm cave toward the impressive landscape in all four seasons—only to then indulge in another world in the relaxation lounge by the open fireplace and in the library. And then there’s also the new Onsen Pool inspired by Japanese bathing culture, an outdoor whirlpool heated to up to 38 degrees, a porphyry bio-sauna, a Finnish forest sauna, a steam bath, a relaxation lounge with panoramic views, a sun terrace overlooking Merano, an Activity House in the forest with a gym and yoga studio, and a spa area offering porphyry and verbena treatments. By the way, guided forest therapy/forest bathing sessions are offered, or you can take the initiative yourself and immerse yourself in the surrounding forest.
