Gartner Design Hotel
What does it sound like when hip hop and classical music meet? Probably pretty casual, stylish and informal - just like the Designhotel Gartner in Dorf Tirol.
With art and design from all over the world, creative cuisine and genuine hospitality, Barbara and Florian Gartner have created a place that stands for internationality, pop culture and South Tyrolean joie de vivre. The philosophy that they have been conveying for over twenty years is now being expressed more than ever following the renovation in 2020.
Whether cozy, trendy or sophisticatedly luxurious - contemporary design and exquisite materials are perfectly showcased in the 43 rooms and suites. The modern photographs, paintings and sculptures in the hotel have been lovingly collected by the Gartners themselves from all over the world. The design objects come from Milan, Barcelona, London, Antwerp and Paris, the valuable antiques from the family collection. The hotel library is also unique, with thousands of books from every conceivable genre.
Relax in style in the White SPA House (white on the outside, orange, yellow and black on the inside) with panoramic sauna, relaxation room, gym and more, with a view of the entire Burggrafenamt, high into the Vinschgau Valley and almost as far as Bolzano. Phenomenal! In the immediate vicinity of the wellness building there is a 70 m² loft for the particularly discerning guest with a 100 m² private garden. In addition to the redesign of the existing conservatory, the garden has been refreshed and an outdoor lounge area has been created for the night owls.
The young team under the direction of award-winning chef Matthias Huber inspires with modern and creative cuisine with a regional touch. Dining takes place either in the conservatory restaurant The View, in the dining room The Taste or in The Stube. At lunchtime, guests can chill out on the wooden lounge terrace with casual bistro dishes. The terrace is a popular meeting place for aperitifs and after dinner.
