Monika - A Great Place to Be - Dolomites
3rd place: The adults-only wellness hotel Monika – Great Place to be – Dolomites is a place to indulge in life’s finer things – for connoisseurs aged 14 and older.
Clean lines meet warm textures, local woods meet contemporary design. Large windows bring the mountain world inside, making nature a constant companion—from the first light of dawn to the last glow of sunset.
Welcome
The transformation is particularly noticeable in the public areas. The lobby presents itself as more open, airy, and yet more intimate. It serves as both a meeting place and a retreat, a space for conversation, arrival, and reflection. The rooms and suites also embody this vision: understated elegance, thoughtful details, and a comfort that doesn’t need to be loud to impress. The view outside remains the secret star throughout.
The spa and wellness area was thoroughly reimagined during the renovation. Tranquility, spaciousness, and naturalness define the experience. Regeneration begins at the Spa Retreat Wassermann on the rooftop or in The Meridiana Silent Pool. The refreshing sensation after a dip in the cold pool, The Ice Deck, should not be underestimated, nor should the moment of rejuvenation by the open fire pit in the Chill-out Rooftop Lounge.
Wonderful moments of indulgence
Culinary-wise, the Monika remains true to its style, yet also embraces subtle innovation. Regionality, seasonality, and quality take center stage, interpreted with a modern twist and served with a light touch. The cuisine sees itself as a reflection of the region: honest, clear, and surprising all at once. At the hotel restaurant Seasons – Fine Alpine Dining, well-being and beauty come from within: Alpine superfoods such as precious oils, nutritious seeds, wild sprouts, and berries.
