For more than 660 years, the Storchen has been as much a part of Zurich's lifestyle as Sechseläuten and Bahnhofstrasse. It is said that the name comes from the black stork couple that once settled on the roof of the building. The terrace is a particular eye-catcher: selected delicacies are served here with a view of the Limmat, the Grossmünster and the mountains. Every Sunday, a varied brunch indulges in sweet idleness. Fans of the blue vapor are spoiled with fine smokes in the 'Cigar Bar', a nightcap after a strenuous day is possible in the 'Barchetta', which also serves as an ice cream bar and espresso bar. The rooftop terrace 'The Nest' is also very popular.
