Hôtel Les Armures Genève
Hospitable history: Just a cobblestone away from museums, galleries and shopping, the 5-star hotel inspires with historical coziness.
Breathe in history, breathe out everyday life
You should take a guided tour of the 32 rooms and junior suites: Painted beamed ceilings, fireplaces and window surrounds made of natural stone make the hotel a gem of a bygone era. On the modern side, flat-screen TVs, Nespresso machines and air conditioning harmonize perfectly with the historical design and remain discreetly in the background. After a wonderful night's sleep, you should take advantage of the first-class breakfast: Fruit salad, muesli, local cheese and croissants make for a sumptuous start to the day. The breakfast room, which dates back to the 17th century, also offers daily news in the form of national and international newspapers.
Classically served
'Les Armures' is one of the oldest restaurants in the city and a popular meeting place for business people, tourists and locals alike. In keeping with the medieval ambience, the cuisine is traditional: raclette, fondue and French delicacies are the mainstays of a menu that changes with the seasons. Guests can choose between the terrace, the air-conditioned dining room or the cellar, where cheese fondue and Bordeaux with friends taste particularly good between old stone walls. The excellent service also includes a banquet service for a maximum of 60 people - menu suggestions are available on request.
