For more than 175 years, the grande dame of the Engadine hotel industry, which is a listed building, has stood magnificently in the heart of Pontresina in a sunny location at 1800 meters above sea level. A renovation has now given it a new shine. The public areas on the Beletage with the magnificent lobby, the fireplace room, the Kronenhof Bar and the reception have been given an elegant upgrade thanks to extensive renovations. The furniture features pieces designed exclusively for the hotel or design classics and specially made carpets adorn the floors. The Kronenhof Bar is now dominated by bold shades of blue and red. Leather upholstery and velvet coverings adorn the walls and bar counters, while individual decorative elements accentuate the overall look. The renowned French architect Pierre-Yves Rochon was responsible for the renovation.
