Valsana Hotel Arosa
A green ski hotel? That's no contradiction in the Swiss winter sports Eldorado of Arosa - the Valsana is located right in the village center and here, at 1800 meters above sea level in the middle of the magnificent mountain world, sustainability is a top priority alongside the highest level of comfort.
Environmental awareness is the trump card
In addition to ice storage heating, which uses the principle of the heat pump, Fairtrade and above all regional products in the bathroom, kitchen and minibar as well as in the clothing for the staff, it is the numerous loving details that make the Valsana a little gem. That's why it can hold its own alongside its 'luxury sisters' in The Tschuggen Collection, the Tschuggen Grand in Arosa and the Carlton in St. Moritz.
Design fireworks
This is mainly thanks to the interior design: star interior designer Carlo Rampazzi presents it like great cinema on a screen, skillfully staging its colourful, imaginative elements and yet creating a cosy and intimate ambience. Stylistically confident breaks in style are one of his specialties and the details are as functionally well thought out as they are playful and imaginatively designed. This ranges from the cozy hammock on the balcony, the nostalgic record player with selected vinyl records and the selection of books for long hours of reading in the room to the atmospheric Twist restaurant, which forms an area with a chalet feel together with the lobby, lounge and bar. And even the surprisingly original Ideas Factory meeting room with old skis and many other props is more reminiscent of a cozy mountain chalet than a sober conference room.
Breathtaking view
For sports enthusiasts coming back from the slopes in winter or hiking in the mountains in summer, there is a state-of-the-art fitness area - with personal coach support on request - as well as two indoor tennis courts, spa facilities and a Smith & Smith pop-up. And the sun terrace - just like the restaurant and the wellness area - offers a breathtakingly beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and tempts you to simply do nothing and enjoy...
