Built in 2002 as part of the Swiss National Exhibition, the Hôtel Palafitte is still a unique showpiece on Lake Neuchâtel. The pavilions on stilts directly above the water with breathtaking views are part of the only 5-star hotel in Europe to be built on a lake. The hotel inspires with its innovative reinterpretation of the traditional stilt houses from the Indian Ocean and puts you in a unique location: living above the lake, in harmony with the lake. The spectacular accommodations of the Hôtel Palafitte are not only unique, they are also very elegantly furnished. Divided between the lakeside pavilion and the shore pavilion, the 38 pile dwellings offer a true paradise to unwind in their 70 m² of space. Room service, Jacuzzi, L'Occitane care products and a Nespresso coffee machine are just some of the highlights. The rooms have a bathroom, office area and a private terrace with a descent to the lake. Tip: get up, take three steps and dive in. Then enjoy a glass of champagne on your own terrace and combine the tingling sensation on your palate with the silky-smooth tranquillity of the lake. You can't get any closer to the perfect vacation.
