The aim was to bridge the gap between the original Engadine architecture and today's modern, Alpine living culture. Under the direction of Daniela and Philippe Frutiger, the team of architects Francesca Alder from bofor design in Thun, Gaby Bachhuber Geissinger from the office of the same name in Munich and Roland Hinzer from Hinzer Architektur in Champfèr took on this exciting challenge and achieved a breathtaking transformation of the 100-year-old Chesa Guardalej into Giardino Mountain. The architect dream team fused traditional elements such as natural stone and antique wooden ceilings with chic design elements from various trendy forges. The result is a design jewel that enchants with its own charm and lived-in cosiness.
The historic fabric of the building shapes the individual layouts of the 77 rooms and suites at Hotel Giardino Mountain. Natural colors and regional materials are accentuated by trendy design elements and create places where you feel at home. The sophisticated furnishings meet all the requirements of the modern traveler. Some of the rooms have a terrace or balcony with a view of the breathtaking Upper Engadine Alpine panorama. The dipiù spa world lets you feel the first hint of relaxation as soon as you enter the fresh interior design. In addition to eight bright and harmonious treatment rooms, the spa has various wonderful saunas and relaxation areas, an indoor pool and a pleasantly warm bubble bath with massage jets, an Aveda hair salon and an exclusive and luxurious reception area - including a cup of tea and small snacks. An absolute highlight is the couple's suite, which promises romantic togetherness with a whirlpool bath, steam sauna, relaxation area and two massage beds - the place to feel relaxed. In addition to the classic spa offer, the range is supplemented with Ayurvedic cures and treatments from 3-day to 21-day cures for detox, anti-ageing or sustainable weight loss, as well as individual training and coaching sessions with the Giardino Coach.
