The Chedi Andermatt

2nd place: Asia meets the Alps in a design hotel that is once again causing a storm of enthusiasm this year: de-luxe vacations at the highest level and top-class gourmet dreams!

Surrounded by picturesque natural beauty, the Chedi Andermatt combines the charm of a classic ski chalet with an Asian-inspired approach to create a harmonious mix of styles that is unmistakably authentic and edgy. Characterized by clean lines and artistic design details, the flagship of Swiss alpine tourism remains in a class of its own - after all, it was voted Hotel of the Year by Gault-Millau in 2017.

Think natural

The sustainable use of resources and harmony with nature are the credo of The Chedi Andermatt. In one of the 119 exclusive rooms and suites, let yourself be whisked away to an Asian-Alpine wonderland by the radiance of dark wood, soft leather sofas and gentle colors. Wall paintings, including in the style of Peter Paul Rubens, and wood paneling with recessed bronze lamps behind the bed create unique focal points. You can enjoy these in your exceptionally comfortable and exclusive Hästens bed, in which you will dream yourself onto cloud nine. All rooms and suites have at least 52 square meters and - thanks to large panoramic windows - inspire with fantastic views of the unique mountain landscape. In the Asian-inspired luxury bathrooms, large bathtubs, heated natural stone floors and separate rain showers beckon - wrapped in the fine fragrance of The Chedi Andermatt, pampered with high-quality products from Aqua di Parma and soft music, you will quickly find your balance here.

Think holistic

Immerse yourself in a world of peace and relaxation: The Chedi Andermatt offers a holistic spa and health concept on 2,400 square meters, making the 5-star hotel one of the most beautiful wellness hotels in Switzerland. Not only the spacious bathing and sauna area or the wonderful yoga and Pilates studio, but also the Tibetan Relaxation Lounge with Far Eastern treatments tailored to the guest, are sure to delight. The 35-metre-long indoor pool and the twelve-metre-long outdoor pool with a charming view of the surrounding Alpine landscape offer refreshment. In The Health Club, you can train at the highest level with state-of-the-art fitness equipment from Technogym - personal trainers are available for individual consultations and challenges. Ten deluxe treatment suites are available in the award-winning Asian-inspired The Spa, where highly qualified international therapists give massages and pamper you with the finest natural products.
