Hotel Eden Roc
3rd place: Three houses, harmoniously combined and in the best location on the lake: the Eden Roc is elegant, colorful and full of ideas. As a bonus, a gourmet restaurant in the historic lake house and a private beach await!
Jenseits von Eden
"The little paradise" comprises three grand suites, 34 suites and 42 deluxe double rooms in the two main buildings with a view of Lake Maggiore or the fascinating Ticino mountain panorama. In terms of design, guests at the Eden Roc are spoilt for choice: the left wing of the hotel is home to the lively rooms designed by Swiss interior designer Carlo Rampazzi, which impress and surprise with their unusual color combinations, unusual shapes and the finest materials. Those who prefer a quieter design will find their line in the right wing. Here, the interior designer has been more restrained, but has also created an appealing and youthful ambience with fabrics, accessories and patterns. In addition, the 5-star superior hotel has 16 rooms with a youthful maritime design in the Eden Roc Marina, which is connected by a passageway, thus increasing its capacity to a total of 95 rooms and suites. All rooms have a balcony or spacious terrace so that guests can enjoy the Ticino sunshine all year round.
The wellness paradise
Paradisiacal tranquillity, a private beach, a panoramic jetty and extensive gardens with numerous sunbathing areas - these are just a few of the reasons why many guests hardly ever leave the hotel during a short break on Lake Maggiore. The 5-star hotel also offers a 2000 m2 wellness area, the Eden Roc Spa, with a versatile water world, a large sauna area and seven individually designed treatment rooms. Interior designer Carlo Rampazzi was inspired by nature in Ticino - more specifically, the variety of flowers and the colors of Lake Maggiore - when designing this wonderful relaxation retreat.
Oasis of indulgence
In "La Brezza" - awarded 19 Gault & Millau points and two Michelin stars - Marco Campanella serves light, smart Mediterranean cuisine, while in the idyllic, historic lakeside restaurant "La Casetta" (14 Gault & Millau points), right on the lakeshore, he treats guests to fresh pasta dishes and grilled lake and sea food. The "Marina" restaurant is more casual, where Marco Vasterella serves homemade pasta and fish and meat specialties with esprit and passion. The restaurant was redesigned by star architect Carlo Rampazzi in the retro style of the seventies and attracts diners with its relaxed outdoor lounge. Executive Chef Salvatore Frequente, who has been awarded 15 Gault & Millau points, is now cooking again in the classic "Eden Roc" restaurant.
