Einstein St.Gallen

Enjoyment a la carte behind the walls of a classicist dream of an old town! That's lifestyle at Einstein St. Gallen. And with 18 GaultMillau points, two Michelin stars and 4-star superior service, it lives up to its name!

Even if the Hotel Einstein has no direct connection with the well-known genius Albert Einstein (but rather refers by name to his namesake in the textile industry and former owner of the current hotel), it embodies everything that is commonly understood by "genius": cleverness, sophistication and a large portion of inventiveness. And that across the board...

Sophisticated cuisine

A culinary stroke of genius at the highest international level awaits guests at the gourmet restaurant Einstein Gourmet. The gifted head chefs Sebastian Zier and Richard Schmidtkonz are true all-rounders when it comes to Michelin-starred cuisine and take connoisseurs on mysterious taste journeys through international flavor realms. In a dignified atmosphere and with spectacular views over the rooftops of St. Gallen, they serve French classics with oriental nuances that are at the same time committed to culinary tradition and creative innovation. 18 GaultMillau points, together with two Michelin stars, pay tribute to these aesthetically sophisticated masterpieces. The French-influenced and cosmopolitan cooking style is rounded off by Wine Director Loris Lenzo and Restaurant Manager Daniel Bölle with exquisite wines from the Einstein St.Gallen wine cellar. Over 3,000 wines adorn the wine list of the Michelin-starred restaurant and provide a harmonious complement to every course. The wine list was awarded the "Global Award for the Best Large-Format Wine List in the World" by "The World of Fine Wine" at the "World's Best Wine List Awards 2025". The US lifestyle magazine Wine Spectator once again awarded the wine list two out of three glasses, placing Einstein Gourmet among the top restaurants worldwide. A taste experience with a culinary flight of fancy is guaranteed.

The Bistro St.Gallen - awarded 14 GaultMillau points - offers a seasonal variety of international dishes. Baked country egg with truffle or beef tartare are just two of the classics served at Bistro St.Gallen.

Tradition with style

St. Gallen is known for its flourishing textile industry. A look back in history shows that today's Hotel Einstein was also once closely interwoven with this tradition: the building, which was erected in 1830, housed a clothing factory in its early days. This rich culture is still respected today, as all 113 rooms of the hotel are furnished with the finest textiles of St. Gallen quality: from high-quality bed linen to silk curtains - guests are guaranteed a particularly high-quality bed here. An exclusive special for the ladies of creation: the Ladies' Floor. Here, numerous amenities such as bath salts, a docking station, women's magazines and a Nespresso coffee machine provide extra (lady) comfort.

Einstein Congress - smart choice

If you want to make the right decision when it comes to business, book at the Einstein St.Gallen and benefit from 14 modern conference rooms and the Einstein Hall, which can accommodate up to 330 people. There is hardly anything that is not available here. Ambitious spirits will also find their dreams come true in the 3000 m2 fitness park: whether it's an after-work workout or wellness in the steam bath followed by a massage - it's definitely worth a visit.
