Hotel Saratz
The 4-star superior hotel is over 150 years old, but keeps itself young with children's laughter: the elegant yet informal ambience offers plenty of action for kids with a play paradise, explorer workshops and treasure hunts. And for parents, time out in the spa
The hotel complex also functions as a modern conference center, an elegant venue for festive occasions, an indoor and outdoor wellness oasis, a meeting place for culinary excursions in an atmospheric setting and a playground for younger guests.
Curtain up!
The 63 spacious rooms in the new building of the Hotel Saratz are modernly furnished, captivate with their bright, colorful walls and offer a fantastic view of the park, the valley and the surrounding alpine panorama. The 30 junior suites, family and comfort rooms in the 150-year-old original building exude modern charm with a touch of Art Nouveau and offer plenty of space for a successful family vacation. The luxurious rooms offer an enchanting view of the courtyard and have a living and sleeping area separated by a sliding door.
Savoir vivre
The Art Nouveau hall is the culinary heart of the hotel. Here you can celebrate and enjoy, stock up on local produce at the lovingly prepared breakfast buffet and enjoy market-fresh à la carte dishes from the kitchen of Kari Walker and her team in the evening.
Those who prefer a more rustic style will get their money's worth at "La Cuort". The cozy fondue and raclette parlor with its 16 seats is located in the oldest vaults of the hotel.
Right next door is the trendy "Giodi Vegetarian and Co.". Vegi and flexi lovers have been meeting here since December 2020 to indulge themselves in the stylish restaurant or on the sheltered sun terrace in summer. Enjoyment comes first. Whether over an Engadine beer, with a fine glass of wine or cooked by top chef Kari Walker. "Food is life", she says and conjures up almost entirely vegetarian menus with meat or fish as "side vegetables" on request.
After dinner, it's time to move to the crackling fireplace at the hotel bar. In the comfortable armchairs and sofas at the bar, you can enjoy the Engadine sun and the romance of the open fire.
Laissez faire
Another highlight of the hotel is of course the wellness offer. In the old vaulted cellar is the oriental Saracen bath, a reinterpretation of the hamam and a wonderful retreat. The Hotel Saratz also has a whirlpool, a relaxation room, a classic wooden sauna and a natural stone steam bath. There are also experience showers, an ice fountain, a relaxation room, a fitness room and massage and beauty treatments. Those who fancy a Rhassoul treatment will appreciate the "anointing" of the body with three different healing muds. The beautiful and spacious hotel park is home to the highest and largest heated outdoor pool in the Upper Engadine.
Children, children!
The youngest are very welcome here. They can make things together, bake pizzas, paint fabrics, search for treasures, light campfires and eat together at the children's table. Professional childcare is available for children aged 3 and over. The concept for the play paradise comes from TV presenter Sandra Schiess.
