Fairytale Hotel Braunwald
1st place: Fairytale hour, flying tables and petting zoo: children's dreams come true at the Märchenhotel Braunwald.
Our dreamlike Paradise Suites
The two double-storey Paradise Suites "1001 Nights" and "Infinity" offer everything you need for an exciting and relaxing stay. The suites impress with a private whirlpool and sauna, an in-room slide, three bedrooms and a living area with over 100 m2 of interior space and a blackboard for creative moments. In summer, guests can feed the goats on the "Goat Walk" in the "Unendlich" directly from the suite.
Paradise for children
An indoor pool with a climbing course and a slide from the second floor to the children's reception are available to children all day long. Young guests can let off steam on the hotel's own bouncy castle in the large playground or in the giant fairytale tree, which was created in cooperation with the Europapark Rust amusement park. Children can experience our animals up close and personal: they can feed the llamas, goats and rabbits every day. Of course, there is also our lovingly designed guinea pig house, a walk-in earth house with round windows and round doors. Water lovers will enjoy the adventure pool with its 34 degree outdoor infinity pool, the indoor pool, the 20 meter long water slide and the children's pool. In winter, the ice skating rink right next to the hotel invites you to pirouette and do laps in the snow paradise.
The Hall for Kings with its popular attractions such as the flying tables, Emma the locomotive or the glowing magic wall will make children's eyes light up. In the evening, a fairy tale fairy or a fairy tale uncle tell exciting stories. A special highlight is the in-house aquarium lift, in which guests float past colorful schools of fish in five different aquariums.
Fabulous family vacation
Even older guests can enjoy a carefree vacation thanks to the great children's entertainment. A relaxing highlight is the spacious "Wellness on the top" relaxation oasis, renovated in 2025, which is located in a child-free glass pavilion on the roof of the hotel and offers a fantastic panoramic view. Modern fitness equipment is available for active relaxation, or you can treat yourself to a soothing break in the steam bath, sauna or our new bio-sauna.
The family hotel has 42 stylishly furnished guest rooms. A breathtaking view, luxurious furnishings and fine interior accessories make the rooms a friendly and modern feel-good retreat.
Dine like a king
Head chef Dominik Hergenhan and his team serve a creative and varied five-course menu every evening - guests can choose from three main courses each day. The cuisine is a mix of classic French, Swiss, Italian and international specialties. Our new egg gondola lift brings a breath of fresh air to breakfast: the egg order is delivered directly from the kitchen to the guest by gondola. The cheese buffet with Glarus mountain cheese and Swiss classics is very popular. At lunchtime, the daytime restaurant offers a varied à la carte menu and a salad buffet - naturally with a large menu for the little ones. A further highlight is the children's evening meal: children are offered their own menu, vegetables, fruit and vegetable porridge for the little ones. This dinner takes place after the daily children's story in the children's dining room.
