Built in the 1950s as the first Swiss motel, the 4-star family hotel on the banks of the River Maggia has been continuously renovated and extended over the years. Updated to the latest standards, it is now a true paradise for young and old. The Albergo Losone has an unconventional style: surrounded by its trademark, the huge palm garden with outdoor pool, the family-run 27,000 m² wellness oasis boasts a private tennis academy and clay courts, its own 9-hole golf course and first-class childcare. Young guests can let off steam all day in the playroom, the petting zoo, the playground, in the water or at the children's golf courses. The lake promenade of Ascona is also just 1.5 km away. The Oasi di Bellezza wellness area offers everything your body and soul need for complete relaxation: Turkish steam bath, tepidarium with hot river stones, cold water pool, pool open around the clock and a varied beauty program.
The rooms have balconies or garden terraces with views of the golf course or the palm garden. The double rooms can be booked individually or for families as a combination with a second room and connecting door. Although the rooms on the first floor do not offer a panoramic view, they do lead directly into the hotel's own garden. This means that children can set off to play in the morning without having to negotiate the hotel corridors on their own. The 100 m² Trilogy Suite, which extends over three floors, is a paradise for large families. It offers a kitchen, living room, bedroom, terrace and private spa bath.
An excellent breakfast buffet is served until 12 noon. In the evening, chef Stefano Peng tempts guests in the Ristorante Fontana and Terrazza delle Vele with classic Ticino dishes and first-class wines, which are put together to create a varied evening menu with a large selection. The ingredients are sourced exclusively from regional farmers and producers: Milk and meat come from Val di Campo, the fish from Lake Maggiore and the vegetables from the Magadino plain. For children, dinner is served in a fantastic train carriage. For three generations, the Albergo Losone has also offered fair weather insurance: If it rains more than 5mm between 08.00 and 20.00, you get that day's overnight stay for free - truly a wonderful gift!
