The Matterhorn, Zermatt's world-famous granite monolith, was the design inspiration for the Unique Hotel Post. While guests come from all over the world, building materials from the region were used exclusively for the hotel. Precious natural materials, sandblasted wood, century-old quarry stone walls and straightforward, modern design come together in the rooms to create a fresh yet authentic mountain experience. In a rustic, modern ambience, surrounded by centuries-old quarry stone walls and an old Valais chalet dating back to 1772, the Vivanda serves original, fresh and homemade Italian dishes and fine wines. Typically Swiss, typically Valais - the Pöstli Stübli treats guests to traditional Swiss dishes in elegant alpine chic: Swiss meat on a hot stone, rösti variations, various fondues, raclette and other typical Swiss dishes.
