The Hotel Platzhirsch on Hirschenplatz in the heart of Zurich - a truly fitting place for wonderful times.
Embedded in a neoclassical ensemble, the hotel has a cool elegance on the outside that harmoniously combines old and new. Inside, you can tell from the lobby that service and innovation are high priorities here. For example, you can check in contactlessly and flexibly 24 hours a day at the self check-in machine. Innovative solutions were also required for the 23 rooms. As the prestigious building is a listed building, various requirements had to be met. The furnishing of the rooms in particular called for individual solutions, resulting in comfortable, spacious wonders despite the limited space, which were further enhanced following the renovation in 2017. The rooms on the upper floors are very successful.
Especially in times like these, the measures for careful hygiene are extremely high. For example, the room cards are sterilized by UVC light and issued to guests. Guests can also have various small personal items such as sunglasses, keys and cell phones sterilized.
The social heart of the hotel is the Platzhirsch Bar. Every evening, it fills up with aperitif guests and visitors attracted by the wide range of in-house events. Here, too, they have come up with something special: A new additional drinks category called "zero waste". These drinks contain a lot of home-made ingredients! The restaurant is a member of the organization "Gastronomy against Racism". An initiative that draws attention to itself very boldly on the drinks menu on page one. The restaurant's staff wear the pin with the association's logo on their clothing to emphasize the importance of the campaign. And they are dressed in uniforms from the company "tree by tree" - Nikin.ch: A tree is planted for every shirt purchased. With so much awareness of sustainability and community, you enjoy your stay all the more.
