Hard Rock Hotel Davos
Good vibes in the Swiss mountains: the first Hard Rock Hotel in the Alpine republic was opened in Davos in 2017 and has been causing a storm of enthusiasm ever since, and not just in terms of design!
Because the world-famous winter sports resort is not only known for its pure climate, but also for its cultural offerings and vibrant entertainment scene, the international hotel group with locations in over 70 countries worldwide is now also rocking the noble ski resort. Since 2017, the former Spenglers Davos with a 130-year history has been transformed into a rocking hot spot with 94 redesigned rooms and suites, including 15 one- to three-room apartments.
The building's traditional connection to the two pioneers Dr. Alexander Spengler and Willem Jan Holsboer has been preserved, but the audiovisual appearance has been adapted to the new image with valuable guitars, pictures from the music scene and a Rock Shop®. After all, Hard Rock claims to have the world's largest collection of musical memorabilia. In addition, guests are asked about their musical tastes on entry and are provided with turntables and records to accompany them during their stay. To rock out in your room, you can even request a Fender guitar with amplifier and headphones. However, the background music in the public areas is much more discreet than at rocking hard rock hotspots such as Ibiza or Holllywood - a small concession to the highest city in Europe, which hosts the World Economic Forum and attracts a more economically minded audience.
Nevertheless, lifestyle ambience is present everywhere, whether in the restaurant Sessions with Hard Rock Wagyu Burger, Swiss Soul Cheesecake and other Hard Rock classics, in the bar GMT +1 - named after the time zone - and in The 5th with a roof terrace for cozy summer evenings, romantic winter nights and breathtaking all-round views of the mountains and the city. The stylish séparée The Studio is suitable for private dining events as well as for tastings. Three conference rooms are available for dynamic meetings and the historic chapel, equipped with a modern sound system, natural acoustics, an organ and customizable lighting, is ideal for banquets, weddings, private concerts and events.
The Rock Spa® by Hard Rock has also developed into another hot spot in town: Indoor pool, five treatment rooms, hammam and yoga studio are just as much a part of it as Rhythm & Motion® massages accompanied by music and Body Rock® training facilities.
Last but not least, the hotel also scores with its location in the heart of the city, where boutiques and restaurants and the train station with fast connections to Zurich are close by. It is also just a few minutes' walk from the ski lifts and museums as well as the congress center, the golf course and the famous Vaillant Arena of HC Davos. Skiers will be delighted with the hotel's modern ski room with ski boot warmers, the private parking lot also makes arriving by car carefree on site.
