Gstaad Palace

1st place: The Gstaad Palace is a blend of history and style that attracts not only celebrities, but also anyone looking for a special break. No wonder. The location is stately, the cuisine delicious and the overall impression simply stunning.

The Gstaad Palace rises above the Saanenland like a fairytale castle out of the pine forest, but behind its walls, real stories take place. The five-star hotel in the Bernese Oberland is one of the Leading Hotels of the World and has been enchanting guests since 1913 - not with magic spells, but with genuine hospitality and living tradition. Sustainability and a down-to-earth approach are part of the DNA of the hotel, which has been in the hands of the Scherz family for three generations. The Swiss luxury hotel is discreet but personal and informal - including a children's program.

All 90 suites and rooms are furnished in alpine chic. They offer maximum comfort and unsurpassable views of the mountain panorama.

The village center and Gstaad train station are just an eight-minute walk from the hotel. Of course, the hotel shuttle will take you there free of charge.

Culinary delights and celebrations

In its five restaurants, the Gstaad Palace serves the best of the region, seasoned with Asian charm, Mediterranean Italianità and international flair. The Lobby Bar, also known as Gstaad's living room, is a popular and enjoyable meeting place. Dancing queens and party kings feel at home in the sea of lights of the legendary GreenGo nightclub.

With its comprehensive infrastructure, the Gstaad Palace is also ideally equipped for celebrations, weddings, meetings and conferences. Turn the hotel into your stage!

Arrive and relax

The 1800 m2 Palace Spa is an oasis of mindfulness with a 36° Jacuzzi, hammam, sauna, lounge and relaxation room. Massages and treatments with exquisite herbal ingredients, granite from the nearby Blausee lake, wood fires and views of the Alps promise an experience of indulgence close to nature. You can swim lengths in the indoor pool all year round. In summer in Gstaad, the Palace's "PISCINE" has been a hotspot since 1928. The Olympic-sized outdoor pool (50 meters long) refreshes guests and locals alike. A fitness and Pilates room as well as tennis and squash courts complete the offer.

Palace festivities in winter

From the magical atmosphere at the New Year's Eve party on December 31 to the Seafood Brunch series in February. Glamorous exhibitions, Valentine's Day ceremonies and lots of live music, including the Dora Live Band: winter at the Palace holds many surprises and programs.

Winter and summer highlights

Enjoy the fresh mountain air in winter and let the warm mountain sun warm you on our newly renovated terrace. Add to this a hot chocolate or a glass of champagne and the winter fairy tale comes true. On ski and toboggan runs (some only 2 kilometers away), cross-country ski runs and winter hiking trails, you will not only find the peace and quiet of nature, but also time to relax.

In summer, Palace guests can enjoy lunch or dinner in the Walig Hut in an authentic alpine ambience or spend the night close to the stars. Gstaad's calendar of events also promises a varied range of top events, from classical music and sporting highlights to equestrian sports and country music. Finally, hikers, bike enthusiasts and golfers also get their money's worth.
