Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa
For more than 150 years, the Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden has been a symbol of European grand hotel culture. Now, after one of the most extensive renovations in its history, a new chapter of this traditional legend begins - a chapter that unites past, present and future in perfect harmony.
Far more than just a reopening
In October 2023, the largest renovation in the history of the building began. Architects, restorers and master craftsmen uncovered hidden treasures: historic stucco ceilings, brick walls and beams from the 19th century. With meticulous care, 79 new rooms and suites were created, combining classic style with modern sophistication. Responsible for the interior: Bergit Gräfin Douglas from MM Design Frankfurt. She created individual room concepts with fine fabrics by Colefax & Fowler, Pierre Frey and De Gournay, custom-made furniture and soft lighting - each room is unique with character and soul. The architectural balance between preservation and innovation was also maintained. The listed façade was left untouched, while modern technology - from photovoltaic systems and smart energy and cooling systems to resource-saving construction methods - points the way to a sustainable future. 65,000 slate slabs and regional building materials from the Black Forest are evidence of the building's connection to its homeland. Even old fittings have been upcycled - a symbol of the hotel's new circular philosophy.
Recreation zones
At the heart of the ensemble is the Brenners Spa & Wellbeing in the Villa Stéphanie - an award-winning retreat that combines high-tech diagnostics with holistic relaxation. Under the direction of Katharina Stöckinger, medical expertise, tailor-made therapies and luxurious relaxation are combined here. Detox programs, forest baths, jet-peel technology and Augustinus-Bader treatments offer guests regeneration at the highest level - discreet, individual, sustainable.
Fine indulgence
The Brenners also sets new culinary standards. In the Wintergarten restaurant, chef Stefan Naatz serves light, seasonal and regional haute cuisine (16 Gault&Millau points) with a view of the greenery. At Fritz & Felix, Farid Fazel interprets international cuisine in a creative and cosmopolitan way (15 points). And those looking for something special can enjoy the legendary Afternoon Tea by Pierre Hermé Paris, a modern homage to Black Forest gateau.
