Relais & Châteaux Hotel Bülow Palais
3rd place: "Baroque meets modern" is the motto of Dresden's Châteaux Hotel Bülow Palais, which focuses on harmonious contrasts and warm hospitality. A mix that is convincing in the 5-star superior hotel.
Dark blue walls, large-scale works of art, bright red designer sofas, a silver counter and golden armchairs: no, you wouldn't have expected such a mix behind the supposedly time-honored walls. But firstly, the styling of the lobby certainly looks elegant and sophisticated. And secondly, "time-honored" is another matter.
The Bülow Palais was only built at the beginning of the 21st century, but blends in so well with Dresden's historic baroque quarter that it feels as if it has always been here. The privately run luxury hotel, which is a member of the Relais & Châteaux hotel association, has 58 rooms and suites. All of them celebrate the baroque-modern style and offer every conceivable comfort. For example, the 90 m² Palais Suite #222 has two separate bedrooms and bathrooms, a lounge with a view of the Rebecca Fountain and a walk-in closet. Fine fabrics and materials as well as bright and friendly colors determine the room's appearance, which represents its baroque-modern style through the strong wood tones and convinces with individual charm.
The 400 square meter Palais SPA on the top floor offers relaxation above the rooftops of Dresden. The wellness area includes a fitness room, three saunas and four treatment rooms.
The Caroussel Nouvelle restaurant combines the charm of a brasserie with French-inspired dishes, refined with regional and seasonal products. To get to know the culinary philosophy of the hotel with its new concept and the signature of Sven Vogel, the Bülow team recommends the selected 4-course menu.
There are 30 seats available for guests. In the summer months, the sun terrace also offers 20 seats. The Palais Bar and the Cigar Lounge round off the gastronomic offering and provide the perfect way to round off the evening.
