Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden

After an extensive renovation, the Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden has reopened, bringing contemporary royal comfort to Dresden's baroque city center.

Built in the 18th century by Elector Augustus the Strong for his mistress, Countess Constantia von Cosel, destroyed in the Second World War and rebuilt in 1995 - today the Taschenbergpalais Kempinski in Dresden's old town combines historical splendor and contemporary elegance. The five-star hotel is located just a few minutes from Dresden's Zwinger Palace and the baroque Frauenkirche, making it the ideal starting point for exploring the cultural city on the Elbe. History has been rewritten since 2024: The elegant building is opening another chapter after an extensive one-year renovation. Designer Markus Hilzinger drew inspiration for the ambience of the 180 exquisite rooms and 31 luxurious suites from other Dresden sights and designed the entire hotel using high-quality, allergy-friendly and sustainable materials. The suites dedicated to Countess Cosel, the mistress and King August are outstanding. The light-flooded lobby with striking textile wallpaper is also charming.

Royal dining

"The Palais Restaurant" welcomes guests with modern and uncomplicated cuisine. The newly created "Private Dining Room" is ideal for individual occasions. In the "Kastenmeiers" restaurant, gourmet chef Gerd Kastenmeier provides his guests with refined fish dishes. The sushi and oyster bar, on the other hand, offers creative and handmade sushi.

Relaxing moments

If you need a little break after a sightseeing tour through the "Florence" on the Elbe, head to the 5th floor of the Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden and dive into the 55 square meter pool. One of the new design elements at the bottom of the pool is a blue-tiled mirror with the Taschenbergpalais logo. Bright and elegant lounge suites invite guests to relax to the right and left of the pool. Spacious, bright and luxurious changing rooms with lockable lockers as well as bathrobes and slippers are available to guests. Refreshing drinks are served at the wellness bar.
