Marriott's "Autograph Collection" has gained another jewel. In February 2022, the Hotel Luc (formerly Sofitel Berlin) on Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin officially opened its doors. Thanks to its prime location in the heart of the city - many sights such as the boulevard Unter den Linden, the Brandenburg Gate and Museum Island are just a few minutes' walk away - the new boutique hotel is a particular highlight for city travelers.
Luc is the nickname that the French philosopher Voltaire gave his friend and patron Frederick II of Prussia. And so it is no surprise that the hotel is inspired by Prussian history and presents itself in deep Prussian blue.
