Hotel Atlantic Hamburg, Autograph Collection

Exquisite grand hotel style with European flair: The Hotel Atlantic Hamburg uniquely blends tradition and modernity. Since early 2021, the grand hotel has been part of the Autograph Collection.

An iconic landmark on Hamburg’s Outer Alster, the Hotel Atlantic Hamburg commands immediate attention. Above all, it is a property steeped in history. The grand hotel opened in 1909 to serve passengers of the Hamburg-America Line, and the Gründerzeit-era building has been a designated historic landmark since 2010. The hotel is celebrated not only for its architecture and storied past, but also because musician Udo Lindenberg maintains his permanent residence here. Incidentally, scenes from the James Bond film “Tomorrow Never Dies” were also captured within its walls.

Attention to Detail

: Half of the rooms and suites were refurbished by summer 2026, with the remainder scheduled to follow by year-end. The new rooms have been fully refurbished and now feature elegant French oak parquet flooring in lieu of carpet. They continue to blend the classic style of a grand hotel with maritime accents and contemporary design. With their high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and elegant interiors, they serve as retreats where guests can feel at ease and unwind. These comfortable living spaces are furnished with fine silk fabrics and high-quality materials such as Makassar ebony and Carrara marble, and are stylishly and harmoniously decorated with modern works of art created specifically for them.

Starting in 2028, guests can anticipate a new, exclusive spa area with a spacious indoor and outdoor pool—a sanctuary of relaxation and rejuvenation that will set new benchmarks. For this reason, the current spa and fitness area will remain closed until then.

A Journey to Faraway

LandsThe Atlantic Restaurant at the Hotel Atlantic Hamburg boasts an extraordinary accolade: For the first time in its history, it has been honoured with a Michelin star. As the new executive chef of the Atlantic Restaurant, Fokke Mick looks forward to further developing the culinary style. The Grill & Health restaurant concept offers a more casual, yet no less tasteful, dining experience. A breath of maritime freshness wafts from the plates sent out by Daniel Thompson and his kitchen team. Photos: Hotel Atlantic Hamburg, Autograph Collection
