Gross Schwansee Estate
Located directly on the pristine Baltic Sea coast of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, not far from Lübeck, Schlossgut Gross Schwansee has reached a significant milestone: the historic resort has been awarded its fifth star. This officially ranks the property among the top addresses in the German hotel industry—a recognition that stands not only for first-class comfort, but above all for genuine hospitality, a stylish ambiance, and exceptional service.
Elegant Coziness
In total, the resort features 63 rooms and suites. Ten individually designed rooms are located in the historic castle, while another 53 modern rooms and suites are situated in the light-filled park building. The suites were recently extensively modernized: warm color schemes, high-quality furniture, new fabrics, and spacious bathtubs create a stylish, feel-good ambiance. Sustainability also plays an important role. Certified organic linens, the hotel’s own bee colony producing its own honey, and an expanded herb garden underscore the property’s commitment to nature.
Indulgence rooted in tradition
The heart of the resort is the classicist estate building dating from 1745. It is complemented by the modern park building and the former horse stable, which today houses a stylish brasserie and an exclusive wellness area. Culinary delights are provided by the “Schlossrestaurant 1745” with its Mediterranean-inspired fine dining cuisine and regional accents. For weddings, events, and special occasions, the historic ambiance offers an extraordinary setting. Guests can round off a perfect day by the Baltic Sea in the elegant fireplace room with select wines, cocktails, or champagne.
