Frankenberg an der Eder has partly preserved its medieval townscape to this day. Here it is easy to recall the Brothers Grimm's children's and house fairy tales, as the painted backdrop of half-timbered houses, towers and colorful market hustle and bustle seems to have stopped the clock. Here, visitors find themselves in the middle of the Grimm story. The world-famous fairy tales have their origins in the forest, and anyone strolling through could easily come across the wicked witch's gingerbread house.
Hotel DIE SONNE FRANKENBERG has been welcoming travelers since 1833, first as a brewery, then as a city wine house and finally as a hotel with a holistic focus and 1000 square meters of boutique spa.
