Villa Keller by Erasmus
The opening of Villa Keller by Erasmus on November 1, 2025 will give Saarburg a new architectural and culinary highlight.
Committed to tradition
Once the residence of the Keller family and later a tannery and winery, the villa was carefully renovated in close consultation with the conservation authorities. Britta Tibo from Trier is responsible for the architectural redesign, which rethinks the classicist character of the house with clear lines, high-quality materials and a harmonious color concept.
The eleven individually designed rooms and suites combine historical elements such as stucco ceilings and original parquet floors with elegant interiors from brands such as Dôme Deco, Polspotten, Paul Lindberg and Musterring. Custom-made furniture from the traditional Saarburg joinery Meier gives each room its own signature. Generous windows open up views of the Saar and the castle opposite, while design accents such as the delicate Kriskadecor chain curtain above the Chef's Table in the Dopamin Fine Dining restaurant set striking accents.
Enjoyment has its place
The hotel also has a culinary profile. Since September, chef Axel Boesen has been presenting a menu concept at Dopamin Fine Dining that combines regional products from the Saar-Hunsrück region with Japanese-Nordic influences. His cuisine focuses on lightness, precision and surprising combinations of flavors - a modern interpretation of fine dining that deliberately breaks new ground. The culinary offering is complemented by Keller's Wirtshaus, where down-to-earth, regionally rooted dishes are presented in a contemporary way.
The location of the villa could hardly be more idyllic: directly on the banks of the Saar, just a stroll away from the medieval Saarburg Castle. This makes it an ideal starting point for hikes and bike tours in the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park - or for strolls through the charming half-timbered streets of the old town.
