Klosterhof - Alpine Hideaway & Spa
2nd place: Wellness at the highest level: After a year and a half of renovation and expansion, the historic Klosterhof has been delighting guests as the Klosterhof - Alpine Hideaway & Spa since July 2016.
Spa dream
If you are looking for complete relaxation, you will find it in the 1,500 m² Artemacur Spa: The indoor pool has a fireplace lounge, while the heated outdoor pool is a perfect place to count the stars. In the hammam you can experience 2000 years of history, and in the saunas you can simply sweat out the stresses of everyday life. A very special highlight is the brine dome: here guests can experience the feeling of real weightlessness in highly concentrated Bad Reichenhall Alpine brine. A massage on the heatable Gharieni quartz lounger is also highly recommended - there is no better way to regenerate. There is also a fitness room with high-quality training equipment from Precor with Peloton bikes, yoga room, pain therapy according to Liebscher & Bracht. Furthermore, meditation, singing bowl ceremonies, guided hikes and Nordic walking are offered in the free activity program for all hotel guests. Host Dr. med. Andreas Färber is a doctor (award winner of the German Lung Foundation in connection with infectious respiratory diseases) and offers post-Covid arrangements, burnout prevention and nutrition programs in the house. Expectant parents are cared for during the babymoon, newlyweds enjoy private togetherness during the wellness honeymoon.
Spa Manager Kimberly Wahry recommends the hotel's signature treatment, the salt ceremony. A full-body exfoliation with regional Reichenhall salt is followed by an individual massage. After this treatment, which ends with a weightless floating session, a holistic feeling of relaxation sets in. The Artemacur concept in the spa area follows a holistic approach and stands for the art of doing something good for yourself and consciously taking care of yourself;
Living dreams
The scent of fine solid wood, the comfortable feel of exquisite fabrics and the unobstructed view of a mountain world in unspoiled nature - at the Klosterhof - Alpine Hideaway & Spa, guests can look forward to living dreams come true in the form of 65 panoramic rooms and suites. The natural rooms are furnished with natural materials produced by regional partners. In the panorama rooms, the view - whether from the bed or the bathtub - sweeps through the exceptionally large window fronts into the mountains. The solid apple wood furniture, the natural wood flooring and the cozy sitting and reading corner do the rest to banish everyday worries. While the Panorama Lofts on the top floor with a room height of five meters convey pure freedom, the spacious Panorama Suites with panoramic balconies are a cornucopia of unforgettable moments. The unique Spa Lofts with private whirlpool and their own infrared sauna on two floors tempt you to dream.
Culinary delights
Under the motto "Frisch-Frech-Förster", the Klosterhof conjures up a multi-course gourmet menu for its guests every day. The young and ambitious head chef Sascha Förster places particular emphasis on exciting dishes with influences from Michelin-starred cuisine. The combination of health and indulgence is integrated into the dishes with ease. Both at breakfast, where a green wall tempts guests to use fresh herbs, with healthy lunch bowls in the afternoon, and in the evening, where there is a low-carb option based on the low-carb diet alongside the creative "Chef's Choice", the more traditional "Regional & Grenzenlos" and the vegetarian "Gemüse & Kräutergarten"menu. However, the gourmet summit with Förster's personal signature takes place every Saturday: The award-winning "Fine Dining Experience" takes place in an exclusive setting for just 12 people. Together with his kitchen team, Sascha Förster transforms the best products from the Alps and around the world into extravagant and unique gourmet creations.
The atmospheric end to the day can be enjoyed with refreshing drinks at the BarBarossa bar or at inspiring events in the LiterArt library.
