The Gräflicher Park Health & Balance Resort in Bad Driburg, whose beginnings date back to 1669, is an impressive gem of German landscape architecture - its appearance is characterized by classicism and early Biedermeier. Characterized by a harmonious combination of historical preservation, contemporary garden art and modern usage requirements, the grounds are a delight with their curved paths, manicured lawns and picturesque ponds and bridges. Highlights include the hedge and rose garden, the lily meadow by French garden architect Gilles Clément and the bog ponds. While the "Diotima Island" and the "Hölderlin Grove" commemorate the stay of the poet Friedrich Hölderlin and his beloved Susette Gontard, generous sightlines open up views of the game reserve, the forest stage and the Teutoburg Forest.
