At the Relais & Châteaux Gut Steinbach Hotel Chalets SPA, these are not just empty words, here we really do live up to our philosophy every day. On a sunny high plateau in the Chiemgau Alps, the Gut Steinbach, which has been part of the hotel association Relais & Châteaux since 2019, pampers its guests.
In addition to the rooms and suites in modern Alpine style, Gut Steinbach also boasts an authentic chalet village. It consists of seven country house chalets by a picturesque natural pond. The Steinbacher Hof with its three suites is based on a typical farmhouse but with a modern interpretation and offers plenty of space for family and friends.
Chef Achim Hack's cuisine in the HEIMAT restaurant is characterized by a strong connection to nature, fair and preferably home-produced food and a special pinch of creativity. Since 2021, the HEIMAT restaurant has consistently defended the Michelin Guide's Green Star. 80/80 is the motto here: 80 percent of the food comes from producers within a radius of just 80 kilometers around the hotel. Ideally, the ingredients at Gut Steinbach (and its Bioland-certified farm) come from the hotel itself or from regional partners and producers. Gut Steinbach therefore only serves typical dishes from the region, refined with the fine nuances of gourmet cuisine.
A special highlight at Gut Steinbach is the Heimat & Natur SPA, which with its 2,000 square meters is completely in line with the principles lived at Gut Steinbach "Heimat. Peace. Soil." and promises a relaxing break in the middle of the Bavarian Alps. The architectural style skillfully picks up on the tradition of the Chiemgau Alps and combines it with modern elements and natural materials. Much of the wood used comes from the immediate surroundings and the hotel's own forest. In addition, large glass fronts, which provide a view of Reit im Winkl and the surrounding mountains, ensure a close connection to nature. The 16-metre indoor pool, three saunas, steam bath and various relaxation areas with wellness library and fireplace ensure moments of well-being.
