Weissenhaus Private Nature Luxury Resort

The "Private Nature Luxury Resort" is a sanctuary for the soul. Guests seeking relaxation and lovers of spa and culinary experiences will enjoy hospitality of the highest standard.

At Weissenhaus, you’ll experience a sense of openness unlike anything you’ve known before—something you often search for in vain in everyday life and rarely find. A space that allows you to simply relax—whether alone with your thoughts or in the company of others. Weissenhaus is on the mainland. And yet, you’ll feel as if you’re on an island, far away from everything that weighs you down and ties you down.

New Family-Friendly Concept 2026

The resort has reopened for the first time to families with children under the age of twelve, thereby moving away from its previous adults-only concept (guests aged 12 and older). With a new, deliberately “family-friendly” approach, the resort places shared experiences at the center without sacrificing the desire for peace and seclusion. Families can choose from various accommodations such as suites, villas, or rooms with connecting doors, while offerings like the freely accessible “Kükenhaus” for play and creativity, as well as specially developed fairy tales for children, complement the concept. Traditional childcare is not offered; instead, the focus is on individual family time. The spa area has also been adapted: children have access at set times each day when accompanied by an adult, while certain areas remain reserved for adults.

A place like no other.

Wide avenues, lush meadows, green forests, and a fresh sea breeze. Even your first steps through the entrance gate of Weissenhaus slow you down and ground you. Every glance at the wheat-yellow, linden-green, or Baltic Sea-blue scenery gathers your thoughts. Stress fades and eventually dissolves completely in the finest sea air.

The 75-hectare estate resembles a historic gem—nestled in the picturesque natural setting of the North German coastal landscape, directly on the 3-kilometer-long natural beach of the Baltic Sea, a listed building, and brought back to life through a loving restoration featuring authentic craftsmanship, traditional materials, and attention to detail.

The fairytale-like park grounds provide the setting for your experience in nature. The individual suites and rooms are distributed across ten buildings on the grounds, just like the various restaurants, and have been restored with great attention to detail, partly based on historical models and inspired by their original use. All buildings and every room are unique.

Cuisine at Weissenhaus

The prominent location, directly on the natural beach, just 20 meters from the water, and the sweeping view of the sea create the perfect backdrop for unforgettable memories at the Bootshaus restaurant. The kitchen focuses on seasonal products from local producers, prepared in the style of the most popular Italian classics.

During a visit to the NAMI restaurant in the castle, with its stunning view through the light-filled garden and picture gallery, across evergreen meadows to the azure sea, you can expect a selection of the finest flavors from Asia. In addition to well-known favorites like sushi rolls, enjoy homemade dim sum made according to original Chinese recipes and traditional delicacies from the robata grill, prepared in the Japanese style.

Unique moments of well-being

A stay at the award-winning Schlosstherme is an essential part of your journey toward complete regeneration at Weissenhaus. Spanning over 3,000 m² of wellness space, the Schlosstherme features six different saunas, a private spa, several open wood-burning fireplaces, an activity loft, and a yoga pavilion. Breathe in the aerosols deeply, increase your lung capacity, and boost your immune system. In the Solewaldraum, enjoy the view of the forest from the salt-herb sauna and experience a new, dreamlike perspective from the forest terrace. Excellent spa treatments and a vitality bar with healthy snacks round out the wellness experience.

Long walking and jogging trails on the 75-hectare private grounds offer picturesque paths through the castle park, along the Old Linden Avenue, past the castle pond, and the art studio at the lake pier. Flooded with light, featuring a historic glass roof, and filled with the spicy-fruity scent of herbs and citrus fruits, the historic greenhouse offers deep relaxation and a sense of well-being. With an unobstructed view of the sky, it is a perfect retreat in any weather, for example for a romantic picnic.

NEW: Bar 1896

In the historic castle vault, Bar 1896 opens up a whole new world. The castle vault is the only part of the castle that survived a devastating fire. With its name, Bar 1896 commemorates the castle’s reconstruction in 1896 and combines the history of the building with innovative bar culture. Subdued lighting, vaulted ceilings, and the quiet grandeur of the space create an atmosphere where time and indulgence merge. The drinks are refined with great attention to detail using homemade ingredients such as thyme tea, fresh cucumber juice, or house-smoked lime juice.
