Hotel Schlossanger Alp

The Schlossanger Alp mountain hotel sits at an altitude of 1,130 meters in the picturesque climatic health resort of Pfronten in the Allgäu. With the highest castle ruins in Germany in the background and the border with Tyrol within easy reach, the family-run hotel offers top-class cuisine and outstanding wellness in the midst of nature.

The hotel has been owned by the Schlachter-Ebert family since 1913 and is now run by the fifth generation. The former inn now has 35 rooms and suites in an alpine country house style. Lots of wood, warm colors and traditional accessories such as Allgäu cow motifs characterize the cozy atmosphere. The Sterntaler Suite with its own sauna offers an unforgettable experience: the double bed can be pushed out onto the 45 m² terrace on castors, where you can sleep under the stars. Another highlight is the hotel's own tree house on the edge of the forest for even more nature and tranquillity.

Enjoy under the stars

For wellness fans, the Bergquell SPA with its heated outdoor pool, various saunas, rock steam grotto, whirlpool, in-house alpine practice and much more is a true paradise. In summer, the natural bathing pond provides soothing refreshment.
The award-winning top chef Barbara Schlachter-Ebert and her son Bastian spoil their guests with culinary delights of the highest standard. Landfleisch ravioli, smoked eel, hemp pancakes and the Gamba Roll are among the specialties of the light and healthy cuisine. Fine wines from the restaurant's own wine cellar are also served.
