Alpenhof Murnau
Enchanting natural beauty, excellent event services, and regional cuisine delight guests at this country inn. Take a break from the stresses of everyday life at the Alpenhof Murnau.
Culinary Delights
While the Alpenhof Murnau doesn’t have a Hofbräuhaus, it does feature the Panorama Restaurant Murnauer Reiter. High-quality fabrics and materials—from linen and leather to wood and stone—combined with reeds and grasses bring the Murnauer Moos right to your table at this restaurant on Lake Staffelsee. Here, down-to-earth Bavarian specialties made from the finest ingredients are served. But gourmets need not miss out on occasional international highlights such as Nebraska beef or monkfish. Once again, the restaurant has earned an award from Fallstaff and Gusto for its cuisine. The well-stocked wine cellar is worth a visit; with 1,000 selections from all over Europe, it ranks among the ten best wine lists in Germany. While the wine cellar cannot be used as an event venue, one of our six conference and event rooms—which accommodates 200 people and offers a view of the integrated garden courtyard—is available for that purpose. Other highly attractive venues include the spacious sun terrace, the winter garden, the Zirbelstube, and the Reiterzimmer.
Indoor and Outdoor Ambiance
The rooms and suites are comfortably furnished and invite you to enjoy cozy, relaxing moments. But you can also experience memorable moments right outside the doors of this charming hotel. Christian Bär—hotel manager and a native of Murnau—knows the region like the back of his hand and is happy to share his knowledge of the many special places around the Murnauer Moos. He knows when it’s worth climbing the Hörnle to enjoy the 360° view, or why you should be at the Ähndl just as dusk falls.
