Hotel München Palace
Indulge in luxury: The Hotel München Palace captivates guests with its personal charm and elegant marble bathrooms, which were once both a profession and a passion for its builder.
A Retreat
Located away from the hustle and bustle, this 5-star institution in the elegant Bogenhausen villa district is a favorite among numerous stars: piano virtuoso Lang Lang enjoys staying here just as much as opera diva Anna Netrebko or virtuoso violinist Nigel Kennedy. If the rumors are to be believed, the latter always books two suites: one for himself and one for his violin. Is it true? Who knows! What is certain, however, is that the private rooms at the Palace are among the most beautiful in the city—and you won’t feel cramped here, even with a double bass in your luggage. The 60-square-meter maisonette suite, with its private rooftop garden and spiral staircase leading to the sleeping area, is particularly impressive. Those who prefer a cozy atmosphere should ask for a room or suite with sloped ceilings when booking. Whatever you choose, all rooms are equipped with luxurious marble bathrooms—after all, the hotel was originally commissioned by a wealthy marble and natural stone dealer.
First-class offerings
In 2002, the Palace became the private property of the Kuffler family. As the owner of a successful restaurant group (including “Seehaus im Englischen Garten”), he places great emphasis on an excellent culinary experience: The Afternoon Tea in the light-filled Palace Winter Garden is a particular highlight. At the Palais Restaurant, guests can enjoy creative delicacies before or after an opera performance. Incidentally, a successful evening of culture can also be wonderfully concluded in the Theaterkeller. And for those worried about their figure, the hotel’s own rental bikes make it just a few minutes’ ride to the Friedensengel and the bike paths along the Isar. In the wellness area on the 4th floor, you can relax in the sauna and steam room, in the sensory shower, on loungers, and in the fitness room with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment. Above all, however, you can enjoy the view from the beautiful rooftop terrace.
