ALPZITT Chalets

When the mountain meadows of the Oberallgäu transform into a vibrant tapestry of color and the crisp air resonates with the music of birdsong, it is then that the summer retreat commences at the ALPZITT Chalets in the picturesque mountain village of Burgberg.

Nature lovers will discover a magnificent panorama right on their doorstep. Whether hiking across the Alps and through quiet forests, biking to the Squirrel Forest or to snug, favored retreats by the water, savoring a picnic in the countryside, or playing golf beneath the mountain peaks—everyone will find their own personal sanctuary of rejuvenation here.

The Gilb family’s nine chalets are nestled within a lovingly landscaped retreat featuring a herb garden, venerable fruit trees, and a babbling pond, and their architecture draws strong inspiration from traditional mountain huts. Fragrant Swiss stone pine, a tiled stove, and an array of thoughtful details combine to create accommodations where relaxation becomes an art form. Each chalet also features a sauna, a rain shower, and a private hot tub with firewood.

Cozy Relaxation

Just a stone’s throw away lies the beautiful Burgberg Natural Bath—admission is complimentary for chalet guests. With classic massages, finely tailored treatments, beauty services, yoga, or meditation, a stay at the ALPZITT Chalets becomes a journey to your own inner center.

Beginning in September 2025, ALPZITT Chalets will unveil enhanced water features, an expanded spa, additional chalets, and a host of refined touches that elevate this singular experience to new heights.

Indulgence

Each morning commences with a thoughtfully curated breakfast basket, delivered directly to your chalet. It contains a curated selection of regional products, including fresh bread and pastries from the village bakery, homemade jams, cheese and sausage specialties, as well as freshly brewed coffee or tea. This allows guests to savour the morning in complete privacy and begin the day feeling refreshed. In the evening, the on-site restaurant, Genusswerk, serves a daily-changing three-course menu based on regional ingredients. Guests may savour the menu either in the restaurant’s stylish ambience or in the seclusion of their own chalet. Regional quality you can taste: We source meat from the neighbouring farm, freshly caught and smoked char from our own pond, game from local hunts, and offer an array of select products and beer from the immediate vicinity.
