The Ritz-Carlton, Wolfsburg
2nd place: Gourmet Olympus: German technology meets award-winning cuisine at The Ritz-Carlton, Wolfsburg.
And even more culinary skills
Restaurant Terra promises a variety of new culinary experiences, and chef Fabian Schröter keeps his promise. His cuisine focuses on the originality of taste, healthy and sustainable preparation and local producers. Fish and meat dishes, vegetarian and vegan dishes are offered and are the main protagonists of the Terra menu. Selected, biodynamic wines can also be found on the restaurant's wine list, which focuses on German and Old World wines. Guests dine in a spacious, modern design ambience with floor-to-ceiling glass fronts offering a view of the Autostadt.
In the evening, Newman's Bar offers long drinks in an intimate atmosphere. The legendary afternoon tea at The Ritz-Carlton is served in the chic Lobby Lounge. The open fireplace with a view of the harbor basin and the listed Volkswagen power station is the perfect place to relax. And on summer days, you can enjoy coffee and cake on the terraces.
And even more art
Over 600 works of art characterize the hotel, as well as the modern-classical furnishings by Elliott Barnes. The 170 rooms and suites are kept in the same style: Heated natural stone floors in bathrooms and hallways, integrated steam baths and multifunctional tables that are equally suitable for meetings and leisure. The view through the panoramic windows is in keeping with the theme: Here and throughout the hotel, the focus is on the Autostadt and the Volkswagen power plant.
