Riva - The hotel on Lake Constance

Combining water, land and light in a unique way: this has been achieved with the new overall concept of the RIVA in Constance. The historically valuable Art Nouveau villa from 1909 has been extended by a new building that perfectly reflects the motif. The 'wave' theme runs like a red thread through the hotel and is reflected in the planting on the pool deck and in the awning. The eye-catcher of the design piece is the free-standing spiral staircase made of teak, which rises from a water basin and stretches over six floors. In addition, floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the house add to the impression of open space and freedom, giving guests a sense of light-heartedness.

Gourmet hotspots

These guests are mostly connoisseurs. They enter the Ophelia gourmet restaurant with a desire for haute cuisine. Dirk Hoberg fulfills it. The chef serves four- to eight-course menus in a purist ambience that resembles a luxurious private residence with its elegantly draped walls, fine fabrics and sculptures. His style is modern and creative and has already been honored with 2 Michelin stars and 18 Gault and Millau points. The chef's table is located in a separate room right next to the kitchen and allows you to watch the master chef at work through a glass front.
The hotel's second culinary hotspot is the lakeside restaurant RIVA on the first floor, where chef Michael Kratt plys his trade and serves seasonal and regional specialties as well as Mediterranean classics. Game from the region and Mediterranean classics are served. A walk-in wine cabinet in the lobby with over 3,500 bottles completes the offer. The wine is best enjoyed in the bar with its lounge furniture, piano and open fireplace.

With the best views

Perhaps the most beautiful place in the hotel is the outdoor pool on the roof. Surrounded by wooden planks and green relaxation islands, the view from the water falls onto the landscape, with the Swiss Alps looming in the background of Lake Constance. The RIVA Spa also offers a direct view of the lake, while massages with pampering tinctures free you from everyday life. The wellness area features a Finnish sauna, an infrared sauna, a steam bath and an ice fountain. The fitness area with Technogym equipment is available to guests around the clock.
We also recommend exploring the surrounding area: 572 m² of water surface to explore. But Lake Constance is not the only attraction. The historic council city of Constance enchants visitors all year round with its picturesque old town and rich cultural offerings.
