Hotel Bareiss
2nd place: The Hotel Bareiss is a culinary revelation in an enchanting natural setting: You must have feasted and dined here.
Fireworks of flavor
The Bareiss gourmet restaurant is known throughout Europe as one of the best gourmet addresses and delights its guests with top international cuisine at the highest level. Reason enough for many to check in here. Three-star chef Claus-Peter Lumpp and his team create culinary masterpieces that focus on the essentials, the taste and the naturalness of the flavors and promise a fulminant palate tickle. In the restaurant, maître Thomas Brandt and sommelier Teoman Mezda, each an expert in his own right, look after guests with warm hospitality.
Culinary dreams
From the very first day of their stay, hotel guests have a fixed place in the hotel restaurants, which are characterized by culinary delights and their spaciousness in equal measure. The offer ranges from the Schwarzwaldstube to the Biedermeier room to the winter garden, but all are united by the class and the claim to serve daily culinary delights from breakfast to dinner in a lovingly designed ambience.
A perfect gourmet day starts by the pool with a small breakfast for early risers and later breakfast guests can choose from the large, award-winning breakfast and brunch buffet to their heart's content. In the afternoon, the in-house patisserie serves Black Forest gateau and other delicacies based on original recipes by Hermine Bareiss at the cake buffet and for dinner in the evening, the kitchen directors recommend a delicious menu and à la carte selection. To round off the culinary vacation, all night owls can enjoy a small snack in the hotel bar at midnight. On warm summer evenings, the barbecue is fired up by the natural swimming pond and selected delicacies are served, from king prawns, hearty sausages, rib eye steak from Black Angus beef, lamb chops and salmon trout fillet from the hotel's own fish farm.
Out into nature
So much indulgence must have a counterbalance. At the Hotel Bareiss, this comes in the form of a varied daily vacation program with numerous different activities that are good for those craving exercise: Hiking in the national park, riding an e-bike through the Black Forest, recharging your batteries with yoga - the possibilities are endless at the 3-generation hotel.
If you don't want to be active outside, you can float around inside: In the freshwater indoor pool, the massage whirlpool or the sauna world, for example. A natural bathing pond and an outdoor seawater pool complement the water fun, but there is also plenty to do for inner beauty: the Bareiss Beauty & Spa uses essences and oils to free the body and face from signs of fatigue. Hungry again? Head to the Oase pool bar, which serves bistro specialties during the day as well as an early breakfast.
