Deidesheimer Hof

Where the Queen slumbered: Hotel Deidesheimer Hof is rightly proud of its tradition. The legendary, family-run hotel skillfully combines traditional hospitality with modern feel-good flair.

The guest list is not kept under lock and key here, but it really is impressive:  The Queen has graced the Hotel Deidesheimer Hof, as have Thomas Gottschalk, Juan Carlos of Spain, Jacques Chirac and Helmut Kohl - to mention just a few of the celebrities who are familiar with the hotel. Why does everyone make a pilgrimage to the traditional house in Deidesheim? Firstly, there is the history of the building, which dates back to the 14th century. Then there is the host family Hahn, who have been running the hotel since 1971. Thanks to the extensive renovation and conversion work and the hotel extension around Dienheim Castle, the owner family has succeeded in presenting the historic house in a modern way. The 28 rooms are stylishly furnished with loving attention to detail.

Promis am Tellerrand

The Schwarzer Hahn restaurant is the real reason for the high celebrity density and for everyone who appreciates good food. The award-winning cuisine is known far beyond the country's borders. Even after extensive renovations and a complete redesign of the restaurant, including an interesting lighting concept, nothing has changed. The chefs Stefan Neugebauer and Felix Jarzina focus on tradition, but with a modern interpretation. Under the motto "love of home", the Palatinate takes center stage in the selection of dishes and regional products. Of course, the restaurant's legendary Saumagen is a must. Cocktails can be enjoyed in the Schwarzer Hahn bar and the best wines from the wine cellar can be sampled in the glassed-in vinotheque.
