Exclusive resort with excellent cuisine on the shores of Lake Tegernsee: Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt, Rottach-Egern. A hotel straight out of a picture book: the Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt is in a prime location directly on the famous Lake Tegernsee, surrounded by picturesque Alpine scenery.
The gastronomy is also first-class: The Überfahrt restaurant was relaunched in September 2024 under the management of Cornelia Fischer, who was the reigning "Chef of the Year" in the Schlemmer-Atlas at the time, and was awarded three red toques in the Gault&Millau 2025 . The Il Barcaiolo restaurant, which has been awarded two black toques in Gault&Millau, serves traditional, refined interpretations of dishes from northern Italy. In Egerner Bucht, with a black toque and a view of the bay of the same name, Chef de Cuisine Walter Leufen transforms the treasures of the Alps into classic dishes based on the farm-to-table principle. The Bayernstube serves traditional Bavarian cuisine. In addition, Fährhütte 14 in a prime location on the lakeshore offers fine cuisine, also awarded a black toque, in an atmosphere somewhere between boathouse and beach lounge.
The hotel, which is one of the Leading Hotels of the World, is also a popular event location with exclusive function rooms and a cookery school.
