Zannier Bendor: A small island with a great past
Welcome to the French coast
From Cambodia to Namibia and Vietnam, Arnaud Zannier has taken his hotel concept around the world. Now the native Frenchman is returning to his homeland - to a seven-hectare private island off Bandol, just 45 kilometers east of Marseille and two hours from Nice. From May 1, 2026, Île de Bendor will become Zannier Bendor, a resort with 93 rooms and Provençal flair that combines an inspiring lifestyle with Mediterranean lightness. Once the creative hideaway of Paul Ricard, the history of the island remains tangible at all times: galleries, studios and a concept store tie in with the artistic vision of the famous pastis distiller. As culinary director, Lionel Levy takes guests into a total of eight worlds of indulgence - from the gourmet restaurant Le Grand Large to the lively Nonna Bazaar or a rooftop crêperie to the Café Paul Ricard. In the 1200 m2 spa, Ayurveda, TCM, osteopathy and naturopathy meet hammam, Pilates and yoga.
