Wunderlocke Goes Munich
Pioneering lifestyle aparthotel brand Locke welcomes the next chapter of its European expansion with the launch of WunderLocke: a hospitality concept unlike any other in Munich, and the most ambitious Locke yet. Ideal for short and long-term stays, it offers locals and visitors alike a new base from which to explore the up-and-coming Sendling district.
Designed by renowned interior designers Holloway Li, WunderLocke features 360 spacious, design-led apartments, a large co-working space, a chef's table for fine dining, a café, wine and cocktail bar, and rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the Bavarian Alps, meeting and event spaces, as well as a heated outdoor pool, sauna and workout studio.
In distinctive Locke style, WunderLocke offers a mix of spacious studio, one and two-bedroom apartments, some of which have a private terrace and stunning panoramic views of the city and the Bavarian Alps. Each apartment is designed to be lived in, underlining the aparthotel's focus on mid to extended stays through special rates for weekly and monthly stays and its ambition to become a welcoming place for the city's burgeoning movement of artists, creatives and tech entrepreneurs.
The ambitious food and beverage concept includes the 'Mural Farmhouse Restaurant', an all-day dining restaurant with 70 seats, 'Mural Farmhouse Fine Dining', an upscale Chef's Table, the 'Mural Farmhouse Café', a café, wine and cocktails bar and 'Mural Farmhouse Rooftop', a rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the Bavarian Alps. The vision for Mural Farmhouse was developed in collaboration with internationally acclaimed chef Rico Birndt and places circularity at the heart of its approach. Influenced by the farm-to-table movement, food will be supplied by local and regional producers; and once mature, an urban rooftop farm will provide hand-picked seasonal herbs and vegetables for the restaurant.
