Barceló Coconut Island opens on Koh Maprao

The Barceló Hotel Group, known for its first-class resorts around the world, continues its expansion course and opens its first resort in Thailand - the Barceló Coconut Island. The exclusive five-star retreat is located on the paradisiacal island of Koh Maprao, just 500 meters off the east coast of Phuket.

Formerly known as The Village Coconut Island Beach Resort, Barceló Coconut Island offers a breathtaking setting overlooking Phang Nga Bay. The resort has 154 suites and 120 villas, all elegantly furnished and equipped with two to five bedrooms and a private pool. The spacious rooms reflect an elegant and natural ambience, characterized by lots of wood and a color palette in shades of white and beige, accentuated by vibrant colors.

As a special highlight, the resort offers guests a 24-hour shuttle service to Phuket to explore the island's entertainment offerings. The accommodation is set in extensive tropical gardens and can be booked for an average price of around 211 euros per night for a Lux Suite with breakfast for two people.

The resort's culinary diversity is represented by three restaurants and a beach club. The elegant main restaurant Kokos offers Japanese cuisine and a cocktail bar, while the beach club Kabang serves Thai and Asian dishes. Italian specialties are prepared at Kucina, and guests can enjoy drinks with a magnificent view of the bay at Laku Beach Club. For intimate dining moments, there is the option of dining in your own room or on the beach by candlelight.
